Need an autograph? Take a number...

Did anyone see the new December issue of The Ensign? Your favorite Eddins Family just happens to be featured in an article! We have an artist in our ward who works for the Ensign as an illustrator. He uses people from our ward all the time for his models in his paintings. One day we just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and he decided to use us as his models. Needless to say, I (Avery) was so stoked to do this because I knew this would be my "foot in the door" to jumpstart my modeling career! As you can tell from the picture, I am very excited to be in it. Faren is in the background in the green jacket, and River and Boston are playing in the sandbox in the corner. The other kids in the painting are our neighbors, the Wiegman's. So I expect all of you to tear out your page and scrapbook it for life, because now you can all say that you know someone who is famous.

You are aware of the progression of these things are, right? First you appear in the Ensign, then you are put on a fast track of "important" church callings, rising through the ranks, until you both become General Authorities etc.

We are honored to know you. You can bet that I will be telling stories of, "we knew them back when..."

Ave- ha, found you! That's so funny, I read that story and it made me cry, but I didn't even notice that was you. I got it again and looked at it once I read your blog and I have no idea how I could've missed it. Even Pharen seems totally obvious. (I will never be able to spell Pharen with an F.....)

Modeling!? Rachel showed me that picture and thought you guys were doing some service. I can't believe you were just posing. Do you know how many boxes Pharen could have loaded in that amount of time!

However, the picture is hanging on our fridge.

Avery - I've been pointing you out to everyone in Rexburg, maybe I should become your manager or PR person or something...My visiting teachers were over and I made some sacreligious comment like, "yes he is the light of the world.. Do you know Avery Hawkes, let me show you something..."

How did you find me? I am so excited to hear from you. I am living in Washington right now and yes, I have 4 kids. It even suprises me. I read that article in the Ensign and now that I look close, of course it is you. Boston is a great name, you are very smart to like it. I'm glad you found me. Keep in touch.

What the heck?! What a surprise to see Avery & Faren's blog link on Mckenzie and Brad's blog (she is Matt's cousin)- it's probably been there forever! You have the cutest boys! I didn't know you lived in Driggs either- such a great place. Great to take a peek at your lives! tah, Jodie Edgington (a.k.a. Jodie Chandler)
